The Perfect Do-it-Yourself- Student-Athlete Scholarship Handbook.

ee2

1/3 of all NCAA and NAIA athletes are on athletic scholarships?

d efga

The College Connection presents the Scholarship Handbook by Coach Parker.  Coach Parker, a former college and high school coach has been working with young athletes for the past 23 years and has created a scholarship handbook for student-athletes and parents that desire to play at the next level, but have no idea how to go about it.  The process is simple, and the step-by step handbook walks you through everything you ever needed to know and the exact steps necessary for your son or daughter to take in order to maximize their college scholarship exposure.

16The process of finding and contacting college coaches and dealing with the rules and regulations enforced by the NCAA / NAIA is a daunting task for both student-athletes and parents. The College Connection Scholarship Handbook is a vital tool for all athletes who are serious about competing in their sport at the collegiate level and looking for a scholarship to play.

The one thing that I know is true is that nobody will ever care about the process as much as you do.  And when it comes to marketing and promoting your student-athlete to coaches across the country, the personal approach is far greater than any service that is provided.  The College Connection Scholarship Handbook puts you in complete control and the potential return on your investment can be greater than anything you have ever imagined.  Obviously, if you were to land $15, 000 -$20,000 a year for four years ($60,000 - $80,000) you would obviously agree; but, what if it is $2,500 - $5,000 a year? We are still talking about $10 - $20,000 over the course of four years and that to me is a big deal.

The College Connection Scholarship Handbook is the most comprehensive scholarship handbook on the market today for the money you will invest, we are practically giving it away.  Everything you need to know and the steps laid out for you to follow.  Take hold of the process and turn dreams into reality.

Do you realize every year NCAA colleges spend more than 4 billion dollars on athletic programs and 1/4 of that goes towards scholarships?

It is no secret that the cost of education is placing an enormous financial burden on families across the country.  By utilizing the athletic ability of a student-athlete combined with the College Connection Scholarship Handbook, you can find more money that you could have ever imagined possible.  $10,000, $20,000, $40,000 and even $80, 0000 in scholarship funds can be yours, if not more.  36% of college athletes are receiving scholarships and there is no reason why your son or daughter can't be one of them.

Everything you ever wanted to know about the scholarship process and how you can become the next scholarship athlete!

"If you only care enough for a result, you will almost certainly attain it."

A Few Things You Need to Know!

21I can't express this point enough, GRADES MATTER!  If players are interested in receiving a college athletic scholarship,  grades are a significant factor.  With out good grades, the chances for a scholarship are almost zero.  Granted there are waivers and special exceptions from time to time, but the chances are too slim to count on.  Make academics a priority.

13A student-athlete must be a standout athlete, this doesn't mean they have to be the best player on the team, but they must be in the top tier.  There are too many excellent athletes out there today competing for a handful of scholarships.  The student-athlete has to believe they can play at the college level and have stats and recommendations to back it up.  be realistic about the level you are persuing.

71Nothing worth doing is ever easy.  Be very clear, even though the process laid-out in this handbook is not difficult to learn or understand, matter of fact, it is quite simple; but, it does require dedication,  commitment and a steady work ethic to reap the rewards.  Procrastination can not be part the process.  Stick to the timeframe and steps laid out in this system and you will be more than happy with the results.

How Much Does it Cost?

Not $2,500, not $1,000 not even $200.00, but only $147 and you can have immediate access to the most powerful scholarship system available on the internet.  No hype, no inflated mark-ups, just a great value.

Through a simple purchasing process and an electronic download, you can have the scholarship handbook in your hands in less time than it would take you to walk the family pet.

The Value

The College Connection handbook is loaded with value, from detailed steps jammed pack with critical information to crucial time saver techniques with pre-made templates, this could easily be the best deal you will come across, the templates alone will justify the cost.

Recruiting Services

Recruiting services will charge you an arm and a leg for their services because they can.  When people don't understand the recruiting process they are easily persuaded and grossly overpay for a service, in hopes of receiving a scholarship.  Do the work yourself for a minimal cost with far greater exposure and control.  Many recruiting services will bulk mail coaches a pile of resumes or links to an online resume center that they have established.  The problem is that coaches are not going to wade through a pile of resumes and they will end up in the garbage.  You have to make it easy for coaches and you have to be persistent.  A simple one-page cover letter addressed to the coach in the players own handwriting is going to be opened, a large pile of resumes from a recruiting service, won't.  When you are talking about ten's of thousands of dollars in potential scholarship money, take the initiative and become an active change agent in the process, you will be far more successful at a fraction of the cost.

Difference between Divisions I, II and III?

Division I

Division I member institutions have to sponsor at least seven sports for men and seven for women (or six for men and eight for women) with two team sports for each gender. Each playing season has to be represented by each gender as well. There are contest and participant minimums for each sport, as well as scheduling criteria. For sports other than football and basketball, Division I schools must play 100 percent of the minimum number of contests against Division I opponents -- anything over the minimum number of games has to be 50 percent Division I. Men's and women's basketball teams have to play all but two games against Division I teams; for men, they must play one-third of all their contests in the home arena. Schools that have football are classified as Football Bowl Subdivision (formerly Division I-A) or NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (formerly Division I-AA). Football Bowl Subdivision schools are usually fairly elaborate programs. Football Bowl Subdivision teams have to meet minimum attendance requirements (average 15,000 people in actual or paid attendance per home game), which must be met once in a rolling two-year period. NCAA Football Championship Subdivision teams do not need to meet minimum attendance requirements. Division I schools must meet minimum financial aid awards for their athletics program, and there are maximum financial aid awards for each sport that a Division I school cannot exceed.

Division II

Division II institutions have to sponsor at least five sports for men and five for women, (or four for men and six for women), with two team sports for each gender, and each playing season represented by each gender. There are contest and participant minimums for each sport, as well as scheduling criteria -- football and men's and women's basketball teams must play at least 50 percent of their games against Division II or Football Bowl Subdivision (formerly Division I-A) or Football Championship Subdivision (formerly Division I-AA) opponents. For sports other than football and basketball there are no scheduling requirements. There are not attendance requirements for football, or arena game requirements for basketball. There are maximum financial aid awards for each sport that a Division II school must not exceed. Division II teams usually feature a number of local or in-state student-athletes. Many Division II student-athletes pay for school through a combination of scholarship money, grants, student loans and employment earnings. Division II athletics programs are financed in the institution's budget like other academic departments on campus. Traditional rivalries with regional institutions dominate schedules of many Division II athletics programs.

Division III

Division III institutions have to sponsor at least five sports for men and five for women, with two team sports for each gender, and each playing season represented by each gender. There are minimum contest and participant minimums for each sport. Division III athletics features student-athletes who receive no financial aid related to their athletic ability and athletic departments are staffed and funded like any other department in the university. Division III athletics departments place special importance on the impact of athletics on the participants rather than on the spectators. The student-athlete's experience is of paramount concern. Division III athletics encourages participation by maximizing the number and variety of athletics opportunities available to students, placing primary emphasis on regional in-season and conference competition.

Many programs will simply send you a bundle of files and you will no longer have contact with them, but not here. Any time changes are made and yearly publications come up the webcenter will have them ready for you. No more surfing the interent trying to locate the the latest addition of rules and regulations. Just simply go to the webcenter and navigate to the information you need and follow the download instructions.

Another benefit to the webcenter download site is the simple reason of change. Processes and procedures may change over night and when they do we will update them on the webcenter. About Us

parker jpegThe College Connection is the result of over 23 years of coaching experience helping student-athletes, primarily my own players, get exposure into the college ranks. After reviewing the costs associated with the scholarship services and what they provided, I deceied to publish my own system and provide parents and student- athletes an easy to follow process and educate those that were willing to do a little work on their own and maximize their exposure.

It is my sincere hope and desire for each of you to maximize your exposure and with my system. You will have the necessary information to make an ambiguous process simple and clear. The process is not a complicated one, but make no mistake about it, you will have to put forth a concerted effort. The system by itself is nothing more than that, a system. In order to make the absolute most of your experience, it will require the exact same work ethic and mentality that has made your student-athlete so succesful. Follow the steps I have laid-out, use my teamplates that I have provideed and have a clear focus on the outcome you are pursuing and you will be more than happy with the outcome. I have assited hundreds of student-athletes over the years with the exact same process and the only determining factor was the amount of effort that was put into the program. There is no need to spend $1,000's of dollars pursuing information that is at your finger tips and for less than a nice family dinner you will have a blue print to the scholarship process and how it works, the power of knowledge. Thank you and I wish you the very best!
